Trigger happy at Cappodicolle.
This was such a beautiful place and I so fortunate to find the family so kind to let me stay here.
View of Capodicolle from the hills where I walk. The mountain in the distance is the same mountain my apartment in Ascoli used to look out on, except on the other side!
My thinking rock. Straight down on three sides - I could slide to the edge and sit on top of the world!
The hill I walked up every night to watch the sunset and separate the day of writing from the night of writing. It is like this almost the entire 30 minute walk - can you say tight bun??!
Italian road construction - judging by the height of the weeds, how long do you think they've needed to fix this part of the road?
Valentina feeding me chestnuts - mmm sooo good. The only time I ever even heard of chestnuts was the Christmas song!
So, the roosters wake me up at 5:30 am, after a relatively sleepless night. I drag myself out of the bed and walk to the window to watch probably the most incredible sunrise I've ever seen in my life! Definitely trigger happy on this one!
My lovely, wonderful, adorable Antonella. She, Giorgio, and I stayed up talking all night after work one day. For some reason around 3 in the morning we broke out the hats in some closet. It was such a wonderful night with two of the dearest people I am blessed to have in my life.
