I LOVED this house. You walk through the outer door in a stone wall into an open stone court yard. To the left is an L-shaped set of stone steps that lead to the second floor, completely open to the sky above. The second floor creates a slight overhang to the open courtyard below creating a sort of half ceiling under which sit the vanity and kitchen sinks. You can literally wash dishes in the rain or the sink simply by turning around. Everyone fell upon different tasks for making dinner - shucking corn, chopping tomatoes, carrying plates, whatever needed to be done. Within 20 minutes there was a lovely simple spread on the table.
